Math Tutoring

Kempton Smith, Ph.D.

Are you having a lot of trouble in math? Are you worried about taking the math portion of your SAT or GRE tests? If so, and you live in the Conejo Valley of Southern California, then this page is for you. If you don't live in this area, please visit my remote tutoring web page for details on my tutoring by fax or email.

I provide personal tutoring in mathematics for students who live in the Conejo Valley of Southern California. This area includes Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, and Westlake Village, California.

I will help you with math or statistics at any level from elementary to graduate. I specialize in high school math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus). I also help students prepare for the math portion of various standardized tests required for admission to undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools. These include the SAT and ACT tests, as well as the GRE, CBEST, GMAT, and PSAT tests.

My qualifications include an undergraduate degree

I can haven't say how much I want to reveal my gratitude to you.

in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Statistics (with a minor in Mathematics). I have 8 years of college teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, I have over 25 years of experience as a statistician.

After an initial diagnostic session covering basic math skills, we will normally schedule one or two hours a week for tutoring. We can work at your home or mine either after school, evenings, or on weekends. I focus on helping you with mathematical concepts you find difficult. Together, we also work on your homework.

Please call me at (818) 707-2640 or email me at tutor@conejomathtutor.com to schedule a free initial consultation.
